Vladimir Ivanovich Lubovsky and his significance for medical (clinical) and Special Education. To the 100th anniversary of his birth

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Russian psychologist, world-famous scientist, Vladimir Ivanovich Lubovsky (1923—2017). A short biography of the scientist is presented. The largest part of his life was spent in the turbulent times of the 20th century. The scientific biography of Vladimir Ivanovich is analyzed, his teachers, colleagues, students are named, the main research topics, scientific and practical achievements, contribution to the creation of domestic special psychology (special education) and the development of clinical psychology, the main Hand book and monographic works are discussed. Vladimir Ivanovich worked throughout his professional life in Moscow — at the Institute of Defectology (now the Institute of Correctional Pedagogy), leading psychological and pedagogical universities in Moscow in the psychological and psychological-pedagogical faculties. His contribution to the development of diagnostic tools for special and clinical psychology in our country and the development of the general psychological theory of abnormal development (dysontogenesis) are separately indicated.
