Features of parent-child relationships in families with primary school-age children with allergic disease
Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of parent-child relationships in a schoolage child with an allergic disease (atopic dermatitis, hay fever, etc.). The purpose of the study is to examine the characteristics of parent-child relationships in families with primary school-age children with an allergic disease. The sample consisted of 120 people: 30 mother-child pairs: 30 children aged 7 to 12 years with allergic diseases, patients of the day hospital of the allergology department and 30 mothers and 30 mother-conditionally healthy child pairs. The results of the study of parent-child, mother-child relationships in families with children with allergic diseases were obtained, the prevailing parenting style, the degree of reliability of the child's attachment to the mother, the characteristics of the child's psychoemotional state, as well as his attitude to significant relatives were determined. Parent-child relationships between a mother and a child with an allergic disease of primary school age are characterized by the predominance of an overprotective parenting style, expressed compensatory behavior of the child. Conditionally secure attachment.
